Zine Workshop fun

So Randy’s Zine workshop this weekend was really fun. So refreshing to just sit down with an x-acto and get weird on some 8.5×11 cardstock pages for an afternoon. Tons of people showed up, and one giant super zine was created.. Jamie’s 5 year old daughter’s page was probably the best thing made all day! We didn’t have time to paginate everything and print it, but expect a proper offset printed version with scanned in pages of this to be created in the upcoming weeks. Big ups to everyone who came out, And John, don’t worry about stabbing me in my finger with an X-acto.. It’s healing just fine. The amount of blood that can come out of a finger is impressive.

Puerto Rico Solo

So I was in Orlando for Surf Expo last week, and on the way home I found a ridiculously cheap flight over to Puerto Rico for $120 return. Here’s some photos from my WAY to short weekend trip. So much fun! Juan Carlos hooked up a cheap board from a surf shop called the room, and the rest was history.. All I really did was surf all day till sunset, eat some great mofongo, and sleep.. Which explains why I only took 45 photos. It was really hard to leave, Sunday my flight was at 12:30pm and I was still in the water at 10am at Jobos which is about an hour 45 min drive to san juan.. I had to return the rental and just barely made my flight back with 2 minutes to spare.

Oh yeah, I got lost in a Puerto Rican neighbourhood.. I’ve never seen homes like this anywhere but in Puerto Rico.. They’re all the same.

Oh yeah, and I off roaded my Prius rental.
